You mentioned you had the oil pan "blasted"...did they do the inside surfaces? If they did I'd look for a new pan, it's almost inpossible to get all of the grit out of the metal.
When I blast engine sheet metal I duct tape/protect all of the interior surfaces and even after that I wash and wash to get any dust off of those surfaces.
Just another thought...
