Found the running board paint bubbled the other day after fill up the night before on my 1950 3100 ( Tank is behind the seat). Outer most channel directly under fill cap had 4" long bubble and splitt open ( nothing on the fill neck or the side of the cab). I think it happened because of the heat expanding the gas in the tank. I have been carefull not to overfill ( I listen to the fill and stop early not allowing the pump handle to stop the flow). I have had the running board repainted (They are base coat and clear) but was wondering if this era trucks had problems like this.
