the type and style air cleaner will have a lot to do with the amount of venturi whistle you can hear. The original air cleaners are a lot of metal and break the sound fairly well, but the more popular replacement filters with exposed filter will transmit the venturi whistle almost as if there is no air cleaner on it at all.
