Hi All,
I acquired this 1946 Canopy express last summer from long time Art Deco collector Dale Dean in San Pedro CA. Dale has since passed away. The truck originally was from Connecticut where it performed its duties as a painting and wallpapering truck for a design firm. It has been on the west coast for some time and I am finally ready to install a rebuilt engine and running gear. I plan to leave the exterior the way it is with the 60+ year patina. Got an extra tail gate for one of these?....I need one! Otherwise it is a very complete and fully accessorized specimen.
These Canopy Express we also used by fruit and vegetable vendors as well as sign painters.
