I posted this some time ago:
This is for the Chieftain 7 wire turn signals.
Yellow to left front turn signal.
Green to right front turn signal
Brown to right rear turn signal
Orange to left rear turn signal
There are two posts on the brake/stoplight switch. One is "hot". The other is not. Red wire from turn signal switch goes to the brake switch post that is not hot.
You should be left with a black and a blue wire. If your flasher is 2 pole, twist the black wire and blue wire together, and fasten both to the post marked "L".
If your flasher is three-pole, fasten the black wire to "L", the blue wire to to "P". Whether you have a 2 pole or 3 pole flasher, fasten your hot wire from the ignition to the flasher pole marked "X"
