BT-That is a good question. I really can't imagine what the differences can really be but now that I just came back from the garage after looking at mine It's probably the way the bracket's bottom surface mates to the outside of the cab. This slight difference can't be too hard to modify if you wanted to mount on the passenger side ( I think )....
