Alan, what diode did you use between the ignition switch and the #1 terminal of the alternator? How many amps does it need to handle? I need to install one in my truck as I am getting a slow discharge back through this wire when the ignition is off which drains my battery after sitting for a while unless I disconnect the connector from the alternator.
