The term VIN is often confused when used with any older vehicle.
Where did you find that code? It might be an engine serial number or a vehicle (body/cab) serial number.
Also, can you post a link to a photo of your vehicle? That would help us know the approximate year "ballpark".
The only code I can find with a BL in it is 1942 but your format is not right for that year.
You are asking this question in the right place - someone will help you figure this out.
