Carefully- - - - - -drill the hole in the gear and the shaft out to the next size pin, and install a spring steel roll pin to drive the shaft. For instance, if the drive pin is 1/8", drill the hole out to 5/32" and use a corresponding-size roll pin. The roll pin is spring steel, so it will be plenty strong to drive the shaft.
