please,not meant as a putdown to anyone.

throughout the years as the VERIZON PHONE GUY, my favorite tool(aside from the card i left, if the customer wasn't home. :rolleyes: )...was the volt-ohm-meter, commonly known as the VOM.

i used it almost daily, throughout my career...and i use it often on the truck i bought last month.(old truck, camaro fuse panel/main harness, new PAINLESS WIRING going in).

this $10 tool will save you time, mucho headaches/nightmares and thousands of $$$ in your CAR GUY career.

it will also save your ride from a major short-circuit, and an electrical fire(total loss).

and, of course, if you get confused using it, the rest of us CAR GUYS will be here for you.

from the meter, we can later step up to buying a buzzer(aka signal generator,beeper,toner) and matching probe, test light probe. grin grin grin
