I don't know if it applies for this engine, but I just used this engine leveler in conjunction with an engine crane and it worked amazingly:

I can't help you with your engine's true weight, but it's most likely not over the 1500 for that leveler. Another good investment is Grade 8 bolts from your local hardware or tractor supply store. That'll help you lift it with better piece of mind.
As far as lift points, see if you can find an old shop manual or something similar for that truck and engine. They usually list the lift points. I prefer to use two head bolts, but I know everyone does it different ways. The only surefire way to know would be to check the manual or have one of the much better informed than me guys chime in. Either way, that leveler has been a sound investment for me.
