The gas tank location has some frame mounts and bolts that you will need to transfer from your frame. The suburban has two large body mounts and I believe that the frame has the holes pre drilled in the frame already. You will also have to use the bed support from your suburban. That's the extent of the differences between the truck and suburban frames. By crawling under your 1949 you can see the mounts for the gas tank, the bed and the body. I think that the only one you cannot remove with the body on is the bed supports. Removing the other mounts won't be easy with the body on, but I am sure you can do it.
