| | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,636 | Did you run a heavy wire straight from the alternator to the battery by passing the amp gauge? If so then the amp gauge will show a discharge any time something is turned on because there is no current being fed through it back to the battery.
Check your voltage at the battery with the engine running and headlights on. Should be around 13.5 volts to 14.5 volts. If so then the alternator is working.
