| | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | It looks like Rochester automatic choke carburetors were made for 216/235 engines back to 1932? http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/carb/Rochester/index.htmThey were called BC carburetors (C = Choke) I have the standard Rochester BC carburetor on a 235 Hydra-Matic transmission on a 1954 235 truck engine. Up until that year, the BC carburetors were used only on car engines. One thing to consider is the base mounting-hole-to-hole distance, 2 5/16" vs 2 9/16". | | |
