They are pretty common on old cars/trucks, several for sale on eBay all the time. There are both electrical and vacuum versions (Trico)available. You are correct about them, being a dealer accessory they appear in the Salesman Data Book. Expect to pay $200+ for a NOS fan and $20-50 for a good used one.
