If you would, however, do me a favor. This pump was built by the American Fire Apparatus Co. of Battle Creek, MI. The company's records are lost to history, but I'm helping a friend build a database of the trucks they built.
Can you provide the original department this truck served, and the build number? The build number was usually on a black plate on the seat riser, driver's side. Probably a 4-digit number beginning with "2". Maybe some other digits after. This would be very valuable to me.
