best I got right now - the rocker molding on the step needs to match the same molding on the bottom of the corner, with a minimal gap between them and about 1/8" gap to the bottom of the door ... your pic almost looks like you're trying to work the corner without the step in place, I don't think that's possible, or at least pretty tough to get things right
