I found H 11 4 down by the starter and figure the engine was built Aug 11, 1954. The 54 stuff was already changed to 12 volt, so I kept it. I had one of the old Pertronix units when I had the 53 frame under it maybe 20 years ago. It worked fine. Thanks to you guys for all the help.
