I believe the F54 means "Flint Michigan, 1954". The "54" in the Hydramatic number seems to confirm that, also. It appears that you've got the original engine and transmission that came with the truck.

I get some of the deer I take from my farm processed by Stone's slaughterhouse in Lynnville. They've been processing beef and venison for me for about 25 years.

Edit: according to the chart below, F54M indicates the engine was built in Flint, and installed in a 3100 truck with an automatic transmission. The original transmission would have had an orange-colored tag on it.
