40-48 psi, depending on the load?

What is the ply rating?
Radial or Bias ply?

I would start at 36psi and drive it at whatever will be be your "normal speed" and road-type.

Then, add 4 psi and do another drive.
Repeat.

Go with the psi that provides best balance between good tracking and ease of steering (without excessive wandering).

I think I ran 7.00x15" Toyo radial tires on a 54 1/2 ton pickup at 45 psi.

Usually the tire manufacturer will provide a load vs psi chart for each style/size tire.
