This is going to seem rediculous, but while pulling the 270 motor out of the 55 second burb, we could not get the motor to seperate from the tranny. The bolts were out, double and triple checked that, the motor would roll both ways, the flywheel did not seem to be hung on anything, and the two housings would get to about 1/4" or maybe 3/8" apart and that was it. The thing has been together for a good many years. My question is this. What would cause the two to hang up? We used a bobcat to pull on it and it still wouldn't come out. Of course we tried prybars and the like prior to that. Am I missing something simple? I have the motor/ tranny out in one piece now.
