Jim Bow, thanks, yeah I thought so too but I'm not sure what the resistance is on either the old gauges or the new sender. Guess I could get the 89's stats at a Chevy dealer...the 56 is a little long in the tooth for finding that stuff. O well, guess work and smoke...hope it ain't smoking in the gas tank though that could get ugly.
