The department of Insurance and the department of motor vehicles made a study and a new ruling,,,,All new vehicles have to have a floor mounted dimmer switch and all the vehicles with the dimmer switch mounted on the steering column
are required to have them removed and
retro-fitted to a floor mount dimmer switch.
During the study they discovered that 80% of all accidents were caused by Blondes getting their foot caught in the steering wheel when operating the dimmer switch.
