Last weekend I re-wired under the dash of my '54 Suburban and the ignition should be same as in your truck. My diagrams show the battery (B) post at the bottom, as you indicated.
If you are looking at the switch from the back (laying on the floor and firewall), the post on the right is Ignition (I). The third post (A) is to the left, above the B (Battery) post.
B at 6 o'clock
I at 2 o'clock
A at 10 o-clock
Does anyone know if the "A" post stands for "Accessory"? I have not tested when "A" is hot. Is it hot all the time or only when the key is "On"? What would be connected to "A"?
None of my wiring diagrams or accessory installation diagrams show anything connected to the "A" terminal.
