Thank you for the replies. I have about an hour on the engine, so I imagine the lifters and cam are shot. I have been having trouble starting it and keeping the idle steady. I will plan on replacing the cam and lifters. Next question ... Should I replace with solid or hydraulic? Is the truck 235 block designed to handle either?
