| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | sounds like something a PO added for something they thought was a problem [irritating] - the only factory material I've seen in a lot of different doors is a heavy tar paper like material, mostly stuck in spots on the back of the removable panel, never anything thicker .... the best way to lessen the door closing noise is to coat as much as reachable of the inside surface of the skin with an undercoating material
