A 4400 would have had a 161" wheelbase. If its got loadmaster emblems etc, then it may be a 235. All loadmasters had the 235.
Of course at some stage someone may have put loadmaster emblems or hood on it.
But it may have had a 216 as these were still classed as 1.5 ton.
You could identify the engine via numbers and castings, and see if it matches original numbers.
