I am new to this forum and am learning that I know less and less all the time. I have a 1959 Chevy 1/2 ton truck with a flatbed, 3 on the tree, and a 235 six cylinder. It has a real low geared rear end. I would like to get the ring and pinion gears changed to some where around a 3.0 to 1. The highest that I have found is a 3.38 to 1. I am not going to be hauling much but would like to go down the highway better and get better mileage. I would really like to keep the 3 speed and it would be nice to not have to change the whole drive line. Does any one have any suggestions?
