For my 55 235 I felt that 2500 was as fast as I liked for long periods of time. I would go faster for short times.

I drove my truck 8,000 miles in a month, and had no engine problems, and I feel it will last a long time at 2500.

Another thing, when I would go faster than that fuel mileage decreased significantly.
