DrewP Shop Shark D Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Glassboro,NJ	The thick washers allow for column shift rod clearance to the dash. If you have a floor shift you only need enough clearance for the steering column while maintaining column alignment with the steering box. Last edited by DrewP; 04/19/2012 2:06 PM. Drew
