On my '54 GMC 248 the valve cover has a oil fill hole, (cap missing). I've noticed, looking at pictures of other engines on this site and elsewhere, some of these stovebolt engines have an oil fill in the valve cover and some don't. Is the oil fill in my '54 standard or an option or is the valve cover perhaps off of something else? (maybe a newer engine or something like that?) Also, since I need a cap for this is it supposed to be a breather type cap or just a solid cap? Also, there's a hook up for a hose right next to the oil fill on the valve cover. Is this supposed to go to the air cleaner or where?
Thanks in advance! (again)
