Hy stalker21, numbers that are raised above the surface are casting numbers, numbers that are flush with the metal have been stamped into the block and are usually an alphanumeric code to identify that particular parts original application. 8764476 no record, however there is a casting number 3764476, which is a 1958-62 235, please recheck your casting number
