Now that I have put a few hundred miles on my truck (57 350/ T5) I am frustrated with the transmission. Using the search function, I have visited the 5speeds and thegearbox websites, but my question remains: what are the gear ratios of the individual gears in my trans? I know first is about 4:1, fourth is 1:1, and fifth is about .78 : 1. Is there a website that might give all gear ratios based on the tailshaft tag number?
The engine has fantastic low-end torque, and the easiest shift sequence is 1-3-5. I would like to replace the transmission, but I don't wish to replace it with a different box but the same gears.
