I ran into the problem a few years back. The Inliner.org Casting number guide shows 3788378 as being a 292. I had found a long block dumped on the side of the road. I checked the casting number against the guide there it was supposedly a 292. Then went to the trouble of having the boss pick it up with the front end loader on the tractor. When I got it home an started comparing it with my 292, decided it couldn't be. I have since scrapped it and don't have the casting number written down any where to say it's the same number.
