For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! To clear the springs with out bending the steering arms, I went to my local 4x4 offroad shop. They have tie rod ends with a straight end on them that mounts to the steering arm. Then I had a local machine shop drill out the ball ends to fit the shaft. The next step was to mount the tie rod ends & tie rod under the steering arms. This gives me about 1.5" clearance under the spring. All together this little mod cost me about $125.00. Good luck.
