How ironic this is. I have my inner bearing and vernier caliper in front of me as we speak. I was literally scouring through the Timken catalogs. I just came up with seal # 476535.
2.125 shaft
3.154 OD
.375 Width
Rock Auto has them for $10.63
I already have the 40973s seal, it seems like it'll work. If not I'll get the other.
I also came up with a Timken brand bearing that may be interchangable. It'll require a 9/32 thrust bushing behind it though. Right now it looks to be about 1/2 the price as the MBS. I'll have to see what the bushing will cost though. It may not be economical.
