For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 34 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 34 | I checked out a 235 thats sitting in a 1956 GMC half ton, however I was unable to locate the block casting numbers (despite hanging upside down with a flashlite for a long time!). I was able to get the head casting number (3835913) which tells me its a 1954 235 head, and I was able to locate the engine serial number (C295894)but I can't find anything that deciphers this. Going back to look again is not an option (it was a 5 hour round trip), so can anyone advise what (if anything) the engine serial number indicates? Here are some pics Thanks! | | |
