For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! In 1948, the parking brake "was activated by a pedal through the left side of the floorboard (allowing the driver to easily exit on the curb/passenger side - the exterior door lock is on this side). A new fender skirt (inner fender) was needed for the parking-brake pedal-mounting lever." From 1948-1954, the truck foot operated starter parts were almost all the same. The differences in a few parts are not significant for the foot-starter assembly assembly to work on all 48-55st manual transmission trucks. Some of the parking brake control parts differed between 1948-1955st. | | | |
