I've run engines on a couple of old tires sitting on the shop floor at times, and strapped down to all sorts of shipping pallets. I'd suggest just getting a good-condition pallet, make some 2X4 shims to level the oil pan, and use a couple of nylon ratchet straps to tension it side-to-side. Put a garden hose into the water pump inlet, duct tape it into place, and provide some sort of drain hose from the thermostat housing (Remove the stat!). You don't even have to run the water pump- - - -just get a steady flow of water going and fire it up! You'll need a battery and a gasoline supply, obviously, plus a way to turn the ignition on and off. A simple toggle switch can work for that. Have fun!
