well its free thats a good start, but a old timer said that they used to put 8v's in his old trucks to help it crank faster and my 6v battery is from the 60's and doesn't work anymore only reason i know it works on 6v is I borrowed a 6v out of a 48 8n ford tractor but that needs it more then my truck
