There is one substitute for knowledge and that is a pocket-book. It you can't do the work yourself or plan to do the work yourself, you must have someone else do it and that can take a chunk of cash.
Solid = better platform, but better = more expensive out of the gate...Not as solid = cheaper on the front end, but more expensive to "make-ready" on the back end.
