For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 59 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 59 | About a month ago i started my 216 up. Well i decided i would go ahead and put the radiator on and let it run for a while. So i put the radiator support and radiator on (just frame and motor at the moment). I Filled it full of water and noticed that i couldnt find my radiator cap.. So i went to town and and when i got back i noticed that the water pump is leaking from the bottom right by the mounting bolt. Is this a pump issue or gasket issue.. Im using my old pump but have the new gasket on. Do these trucks have a weep hole like the new ones do that leak water when the pump is bad? I looked at the pump while i was putting the motor back together and it seemed to be functional.. Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks!
Daniel
