Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 18 | I Have probably shot myself in the foot on this one. Purchased a nice looking 1950 about 2 weeks ago. Truck starts like a champ, drives okay but carburetor whistles and has a flat spot on accelerating. Feels like a lack of linear response when stepping on gas pedal. So before replacing the original Rochester I get cute and spray the darn thing with carburetor cleaner. Now the engine won't start. Fuel is noticably leaking from several carburetor gaskets. Is this carburetor toast? Thanks for your help.
