thanks guys for the replies. curt b you are correct about the flywheel mark, i forgot that i initialy timed with vacum gauge. problem seems to have gotten better. tightened intake, and carb bases, also noticed dist clamp must have been a little loose, so i re-timed and clamped tight. motor now idling ok. could have been vac leak along with timing. dist still wobbling,(ordered new one) and vac guage very jumpy but stays between 16-20. cannot find any vac leaks. any thoughts?
