I have recently acquired a 53 Chevy coe. It has the original paint with no dents but some cancer and in need of several pieces of glass. The truck is all there except for a bed and supposedly was running 8 years ago. I have not tried to start it just drug it home. I have participated in a few model A rebuilds for friends as I have been a welder and heavy equipment/ truck mechanic. I am very new to this area but have read most of the Stovebolt articles the last 3 days. My first concern is if I overpaid at a grand for something I didn't test drive? Rookie mistake but I sure think this truck looks cool. Thanks!
