I have a '54 3100 shortbed with a '47-'50 rear axle and brakes. They are the Huck style brakes. I want an operational parking brake and I have all the components except for the cable that goes into the rear wheel drums. Years ago, a guy told me that I was missing a part on both wheels for the cable to connect to. In the shop manual, it refers to a "toggle lever" but I have not been able to find anything like that on any parts website. Jim Carter has a "Park Brake Cable Clip" part no ME168. I am wondering if this is the part I need and if so, where does it connect. I have searched high and low for some kind of picture of the inside rear drum that shows the parking cable connected but cannot find one. Can anybody tell me what I need?
