Hey everyone! I made a post earlier about putting a 261 in my 1950 3/4 ton chevy PU which I appreciate all the fast and informative replies. Here is my next question. My intentions for this truck is to have my son help me build this over the next few years and let him have it as a 16th B-Day gift. We will do all the work ourselves and stick with the original look and feel. Should I update to the 261 or should I make it true blue stock and stick with going back to the 216 in which it would be worth more down the road? And does anyone have a easy build 216 available as mine has a 1/4 inch crack running down all cylinders. I am open for any and all opinions. Just looking for that inspirational one that will help set our path!
