My problem was solved by a gentleman at Delco Remy Technical Support
I sent him the info on my truck Generator: Delco Remy Generator # 1102749-1C29 installed in my 1946 Chevy Truck. From research on the internet this Generator was parried with a Delco Remy Regulator 1118201

From my information 1118201 became obsolete in 1948 ( 6 volts N 34-36 amps). 1118201 was superseded by 1118301.

I found a NOS Delco Remy 1118301 on EBay.
Sometimes things work out!
