I apologize in advance if I am off base with this reply. If you want GM part numbers for 1954 truck parts,
a Master Parts Catalog is a good place to start.
Those numbers would be of limited use today, unless you can find a modern cross-reference book/list. NAPA might have one and
Rockauto.com has one (that has helped me several times).
GM Interchangeable Parts Catalogs contemporary to the year of manufacture are available used on eBay and on CD (on eBay). These show interchange of parts between GM car and truck models. But, these are not helpful for modern interchange numbers/codes.
Oh, for my 54/55 GMC 350 COE, 3B has been my best source for old and new part numbers (thanks).
