Kip's41,
Heat, Kroil, wiggle, Kroil, wiggle, heat, tap, wiggle, Kroil, wait, cross fingers and chant! If the bi metal spring is still intact, remove it before the heat phase of the recipe.
That spring sometimes breaks off in the slit in the shaft. If this is the case, removal of the manifold would make this repair much easier.
